Would you rather do a job you love and have little money, or do a job you don't mind and have more money? Money isn't everything... it is possible to be happy on very little money and if you love what you are doing, surely that is better than making more and being miserable?
In my personal opinion happiness is more important than money, and it's never too late to change career if you decide that actually your decision wasn't the right one.
At the end of the day, it is YOUR decision and you should choose whichever you think will make you happiest in the long term. Bear in mind that you can always retrain in the future - it is NEVER too late to learn.
It may be worth finding out if you can do work experience in both professions to give you more of an insight into each job. Try speaking to people in each profession and see if you can find out what the demand for people with those skills is like at the moment (bearing in mind it may change).
Good luck in deciding... and I'm sure it will work out fine whichever you choose. =)
