apparently you can't even tell what "your" culture is.

Culture can't be explained, only practiced. My culture itself is A LOT different than Hispanic culture.

The Spanish used Florida more as a military strategic peninsula. The British actually created cities and towns and lived there.

Because, they left/died out. We are now a nation that used to be owned by Britain, but still speak a form of their language.

LONG gone. I'm not an Amerind, and there aren't enough to fill up Florida and practice their culture. They have their space now, and we have ours. American culture has been added to Florida and has existed. Now, Hispanic culture is being created inside of a non-Hispanic nation. Multiculturalism CAN'T last, it always ends up monoculturist again.

WRONG. The Amerinds fought a fair fight, but lost. We are LETTING the Hispanics live here, yet they ungratefully treat us like shit. What goes around comes around? HELL NO. We give them what they want, and they are just a burden to us.

You obviously don't know. There are MANY complaints about music being played loudly at 3am. This is normal in a lot of Latin America. Sadly, the people here aren't used to this and can't sleep. Eventually, that and MANY other things annoy whites here SO MUCH that they just leave. They can't take it anymore, they're finished helping people that give nothing but crime and annoyance back.

*sigh* trust me. The white kids here aren't as sexually active as the Hispanics. Whites are more into school and grades, the Hispanics are more of "I'm gonna get me some welfare and have 10 kids like my mami and papi! School is pointless!"

How can a subculture possibly force their language and food upon a mainstream culture? No American MUST learn Spanish and eat Mexican food. That's completely ridiculous.

No. Mexicans are not a problem here. It's OTHER Hispanics. It's not just their language and food. They can force language by making things in ONLY Spanish (signs, restaurants, businesses) and by refusing to learn English. When you can't communicate with the majority of your area, what can you do?

As for your Lou Dobbs accusations of 'we're bending over to meet the needs of the immigrants' I hardly think that we're giving immigrant latinos a hoist in power by adapting to this immigrant flux.

Well then, you don't live here, do you? They aren't adapting. They aren't becoming American. They are creating another Puerto Rico/Dominican Republic/Colombia, and I'm sitting on my ass unable to do anything about it. Their shitty countries are a result of their culture, and that, nowadays, is the norm here.

Your problem is, all of your over-dramatic accusations are based on your perceptions in Orlando, and for some reason the afflictions in Orlando are supposed to be going on in the rest of the nation. Every city has its problems.

I don't live in Orlando, but Orlando is 10x better than around here.
